Abstinence and recovery are not owned by anybody - smartie - 24-06-2018

Abstinence and recovery are not owned by anybody....

They are rented. And the rent is due every day!....

Most would disagree maybe?.....

Most may say you can buy it and its yours for life....

Maybe why so many have relapses?.....

If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem!.....

Hi

Abstinence and recovery are not the same thing.

Yet for me I needed to abstain before I could start the process of my inner healing.

Healing my hurt inner child takes time.

I needed to learn to be both patient and tolerant with myself.

I am a non religious person and was able to heal from very painful trauma moments in my life.

The important thing is to keep with your recovery.

Take every unhealthy habit and turn it in to a healthy habit.

To become more productive yet less obsessive.

To be committed to myself for the long journey of self discovery.

Love and peace to every one.
