Partners dealing with Gamblers - kimbo - 26-07-2011
I am a partner of a gambler, it has only just recently come to light how severe his problem is.
He has taken big amounts of money out of savings we had together.
I am very hurt by this as im sure alot of partners will understand.
I have never been surrounded by gambling or gamblers to such an extent.
I have vowed to stick by my partner as he has recently been very honest and informed me to the full extent of his problems, which has made him feel a weight has been lifted from his shoulders but also his openess has made him feel very ashamed and depressed. i have taken him to the doctors last week they have prescribed him antidepressents and we are planning on attending a gambling anon meeting this weekend.
I have come here really to get an insight or guidance as to what gambling entails an any advice will be very muchly appreciated!!!
