Hi HappyGirl43,

Do you have a problem with gambling? YES!
Why? If you are spending money on gambling that you can't afford, then you have a problem.
If you are neglecting your family you have a problem.
If you are lying, you have a problem.

I would suggest you seriously look at attending a GA meeting. They are there to help themselves & you to overcome this problem.
Have you answered the "Twenty Questions" ? I think if you do honestly answer the questions, you will find that you are in the problem gambler category. You might be surprised how many questions you answer yes to.
This addiction can tear appart families.
You have a family who love & need you.
Many gamblers have thrown their lives away due to this insidious addiction. Please don't be another lost life.

Get the help you need today, so you & your family can have the life they deserve.

Best Wishes

Seems we have a kinship here. I broke my heel when I fell out of a tree, 3 weeks after attending my first GA meeting.
Afetr 3 days in hospital I managed to get a lift to the GA meetings ( supportive family ). Could you arrange a lift with someone you know, or ring up GA and they might be able to arrange someone within the group to pick you up.

You are going to have a lot of time twiddling your thumbs now, until the leg heals. Hope you have a pastime to keep you busy enough so the mind doesn't wander to the gambling. I personally have joined my local library & am enjoying reading...one of my hobbies I used to enjoy prior to gambling. Try and keep your mind actively engaged in something other than gambling. Crosswords are a good time waster.

best wishes
