#1
Hi all Im Charlie

I want to admit that I have a serious problem. I started Gambling at Casinos when I turned 18 Was always on roulette, now I have moved to Slot machines and fruit Machines. I cant keep off them at all I would money in and in until the jackpot came out. I work in a pub which means I'm always seeing them especially the one which I play the most which is the Pub I even have to refill it at night. I cant keep off them even after making promises to myself I cant stay away. I have a large overdraft and I nearly Applied for a credit card i was so close. I have too jobs and all the money make is wasted I cant take things anymore I feel ashamed and disspointed. I dont even get the same buzz from winning anymore. I dont even know why I do it I just am addicted.
Any advice .

Hi Charlee

My expereince is that I could only stop and stay stopped from gambling because I attend my GA meetings and follow their simple program of recovery. Not only have I not gambled for over 24 years but I lead a very happy life in recovery.

My suggestion to your problem is to get yourself along to a meeting and you will find others with a simular problem who are also doing something about it.

It works so give it a try.

Take care

Go to GA meetings!

Next time you will get that loan out, then another, then another. Then you will lose your job, the roof over your head, your family and friends, your sanity. If you want to wait until you have lost all of these then DON'T go to a GA meeting.

I know what I would do!
