My young daughter is married to a gambler. They have been together nearly 4 years. He takes risks with his daughters life and that of his wife as well as his own. This addiction totally by passes love and destroys dreams of happiness. His wife is 7 months pregnant and loves him. He has yet again lied, spent money they had been saving and it goes on. I watched her shout, ask him for the truth, cry her heart out.......I was so afraid she would begin early labour. His 2 year old daughter loves him to bits and yet he continues to lie and take risks with their lives and at this rate she will not have a father to grow up with or a mother and father who live together. And yet it could be so different. Its hard for you who write but do you KNOW HOW HURTFUL it is for those around you watching and dealing with the betrayal of giving your word and BREAKING IT. BREAKING DREAMS OF HAPPINESS. The reality is not gambling with MONEY it is gambling with the LIVES of THOSE YOU LOVE and who LOVE you. NOT for YOURSAKES but those who you love do what is necessary to give it up !
