Hi,
Today is day 56 gamble free for me. I attended 2 GA meetings but did not return as I am studying for exams and working hard to pay back debts. I haven't had any thoughts about gambling since finally admitting the extent of my problem. I believe some probably can beat this addiction alone but I do intend to go back to GA when my exams are over. I am pretty confident about not returning to gambling but the support that meetings give is a real boost in the recovery process. Those first 2 meetings had a huge impact on me at what was a pretty low point in life. I feel as if a door has closed and a new part of my life has begun.
Congratulations for staying gamble free and if any urges return then get to GA as fast as you can.
