Self Banning Forms?
#5
Dear All,
Usually in Casino's they take a picture of you so to self ban is just tell them you would like exclusion. This involves going to the counter and saying straight up "please can I bar myself as i am a compulsive gambler". Most other establishments that dont have a picture on your file ie arcades/bookies require a form with picture, this is a simple 5mins to complete and its amazing how good you feel knowing you just barred yourself. Word of warning some bans last 6months, I had to permanently bar myself from one at a future date. This works if the staff remember you. Most quiet gambling places (privately run) although they should (requirement by law) provide self exclusion forms often they do not. Best thing for them is a compulsive gamber doing his proverbials weekly!!!. Although self exclusion is a good way to do this joining a programme that involves giving over control of cash is a much better way to abstain as that self exclusion form will not be distributed around a "chain" whereas in casinos one bar is good for all. Remember self exclusion is not an answer to our problems as when gambling we will find other alternative venues to gamble....but self exclusion is a good way to work, just like barring on websites etc...
