Hi JJ
I am a Compulsive Gambler. Sorry for what you are now experiencing.
Unfortunately I have no magic wand for you.
The truth of the matter is that if HE does not WANT to stop, he WON'T !
By what I have read in your post, I gather that he is not ready/willing/wanting to stop.
You are still obviously on pretty good terms, relationship wise. May I suggest that you gather some information on the various organisations available that can help him. GA, GAMCARE etc...
Have a cup of tea and try to talk calmly WITH him. Don't berate him. I guarantee he will resent this if you do. Discuss with him the options available, and how YOU feel.
GA has a sister fellowship for the relatives/friends of the gambler. It is called GAMANON.
This would be extremely benficial for you, as these meetings are attended by people in your position. They have a lot of experience and can offer a lot of support if needed.
I would not suggest you do too much at this late stage in your pregnancy.
