Hi cj,

firstly may I say you are doing the right thing.Admitting you have a problem is always the first step to ever solving it.

Secondly, please keep up your resolve and go to your GA meeting on Wednesday. Time and time again I hear that it is the best way of keeping strong and not gambling. It also sets you down the path to becoming a better person.

Thirdly, I wish you well telling your partner. It might be one of the most difficult things you will ever do in your life, but it is the RIGHT thing to do.

And lastly please do not EVER think that there is not a way out. The world would not be a better place without you. Everyone can make a difference once the leech is out of your life and you are living a normal life again.

I think things will turn out well for you. Maybe not right away, maybe it will, but take things one day at a time and you will "eventually" die thinking - that was good. I made some people happy.

Take care.

My name is Chris. I am a compulsive gambler
