Hi Slodge

I was prepared to do 'anything' in order to stop gambling when I first admitted I had a problem. However, this gambling addiction had such a hold on me that I didn't. Although I went along to a GA meeting once every week, I still had 'selective' hearing. I wasn't doing anything or everything that was suggested. Because of this it was a big struggle.

It wasn't until I took on board all the suggestions that were passed into me in the GA rooms that everything became easier to deal with and my recovery from this illness actually started.

My suggestion to you would be to attend your nearest GA meeting as soon as you can. It is a fact that the people who attend meetings regularly have a much greater chance of abstaining from gambling. The ones that don't go have very little chance.

I wish you well
